In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@DAIS, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDx event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers combined to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

In a world overflowing with noise, distraction, and fleeting trends, light remains the clearest guide. TEDxDAIS Youth returned in 2025 with the theme illuminate - an invitation to shed light on ideas, stories, and perspectives that deserve to be seen and heard.

illuminate went beyond the literal sense of brightness; it celebrated those moments when a spark becomes a flame - when a personal story transforms into something powerful enough to ignite inspiration in others. It called on us to notice what hides in the shadows, to seek truth through clarity, and to carry forward sparks that challenge, provoke, uplift, and connect.

As the auditorium came alive, seven remarkable speakers took the stage, each refracting the evening’s theme through their own unique prism of thought. Their talks spanned filmmaking and social change, sports medicine and resilience, artificial intelligence and the future of work, fine dining and creativity, motorsport and perseverance, physics and second chances, and even the unseen intelligence of nature.

Together, their voices formed a constellation of ideas - illuminating pathways of innovation, empathy, and imagination that reached far beyond the walls of the auditorium.

By the time the final applause faded, the glow of illuminate remained — not just on stage, but within every listener. It was a reminder that every change begins with an “i”, and that each of us carries within us the spark to light the world.
