HOPE 2025 – The DAIS & NMAJS Fete

The school fete was a joyful and well-organised event that brought the entire community together for a day full of fun, food, and interactions. Committees like Decor, Entertainment, Raffles and Prizes, and Media collaboratively worked behind the scenes to ensure a festive and well-planned evening. Colourful decorations, wholesome performances, and smooth coordination ensured that everything ran seamlessly, keeping spirits high throughout the day.

A special highlight was the participation of NGOs like Advitya Aseema, WSD, EdYouth, Muktangan, Cuddles Foundation, Jai Vakeel and Toybank. Their thoughtfully curated stalls offered fun activities such as darts, basketball shootouts, and ice-block challenges. These engaging games allowed visitors to support important causes in a light-hearted and enjoyable way. It was heartening to see children and adults alike having fun while learning about social impact and community service.

The petting zoo was a big hit, drawing crowds throughout the day. Children were thrilled to interact with animals like rabbits, dogs, and horses. Equally popular were the food stalls, which served up an irresistible range of treats: from hot dosas and tangy chaats to refreshing bubble tea, cheesy pasta, and buttery popcorn. There was something for every palate.

Games, music, dance performances, and lucky draws kept the energy buzzing all day long. All in all, the school fete was a perfect blend of fun, community, and heart. It left everyone with smiles, full stomachs, and happy memories that are sure to last for a long time

DAIS Fete Umeed 2024

The heartbeat of Umeed 2024, the Annual CAS Fete of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, resonated with joy and purpose as students of IBDP Grade 11 took center stage, showcasing their commitment to service and community. An initiative embodying hope and community empowerment, the fete was a vibrant tapestry of compassion and celebration.

Stalls adorned with recycled materials stood proudly, representing a diverse array of NGOs, including Welfare of Stray Dogs, Toybank, Muktangan, Jai-Vakeel, Ed-Youth, Advitya, Aseema Kherwadi, and Aseema Bandra. Every rupee spent at these stalls was a step towards supporting these noble causes, adding a meaningful dimension to the evening's festivities.

The air was alive with music and dance, as students, NGO groups, and even DAIS alumni took to the stage, enchanting the audience with their performances. Grade 12 students illuminated the path with a luminaire walk, raising awareness for cancer patients symbolising hope with their diyas.

The grounds of the school were transformed into a carnival of goodwill, teeming with parents, teachers, and students engrossed in the activities. The food court offered a gastronomic adventure, while thrilling rides like the giant trampoline added to the excitement.

Umeed 2024 was not just an event; it was a testament to the spirit of giving and the power of community. As the night unfolded, it left an indelible mark on every heart, reminding us all of the transformative impact of collective action and compassion.

2023

School Fete – Umeed - DAIS FETE

DAIS Fete Umeed 2023 was the first whole school event! We all needed a little hope for the new year since we were all returning to physical school after a prolonged absence due to the pandemic. Hence, this day saw an overwhelming response from students and parents. The most germane aspect of the Fete is that IBDP Grade 11 students raise funds for NGO's that they have been affiliated with for the past year as a part of their CAS Service initiatives. So, while the evening was a fun-filled experience, each and every rupee spent made its way to a good cause. Eight NGO stalls were set up using recycled and repurposed materials for NGO's including Welfare of Stray Dogs, Toybank, Muktangan, Jai-Vakeel, Ed-Youth, Advitya, Aseema Kherwadi and Aseema Bandra. The entertainment for the evening included a series of music and dance performances by DAIS students, NGO groups, even DAIS Alumni. The Grade 12 students participated in the Parade holding candles that signified the light of knowledge. Their walk through the school grounds and a finale of vibrant dancing elicited excited shouts of joy from parents and students. The grounds of the school were thronged with parents, teachers and students joyously participating at the NGO stalls; cheering the performers on stage and enjoying the delicacies in the foodcourt. Umeed 2023 was a resounding success.
