DAIS Coding Challenge Project

The DAIS Coding Challenge was organized as a student-led initiative to promote programming and problem-solving within the school while raising funds for a charitable cause. The event included weekly coding challenges and a final coding contest for students interested in computer science. The team began by establishing the structure of the DAIS Coding Challenge and planning a coding contest for students. Alongside the contest, the project also aimed to contribute to a social cause. After discussion, the Pi Jam Foundation, an organization that promotes coding education for young learners, was selected as the beneficiary. A nominal registration fee per participant was introduced to support the fundraising effort. To ensure fairness and accessibility for students of different experience levels, the competition was divided into Junior and Senior categories. This allowed younger participants to attempt questions appropriate for their skill level while still providing challenging problems for more experienced coders. The team also designed the official DAIS Coding Challenge logo and created certificate templates for participants and winners. Coding questions for the final contest were developed to test logic, programming knowledge, and problem-solving ability.

The final coding contest brought together participants across the school who competed by solving a series of programming challenges within a limited time.

The DAIS Coding Challenge successfully engaged students in coding while encouraging collaboration, creativity, and analytical thinking. The event also contributed to supporting the Pi Jam Foundation, combining technology and community impact through a student-led initiative.
