The structure of the event ensured a balance between information sharing, skill-building, and interactive engagement, with multiple parallel sessions tailored to different grade levels and parent groups.

Panel Discussions

The event features three impactful panel discussions:

• Industry Perspectives Panel -

  Moderated by Mr. Basu, this session brought together industry specialists, including parent professionals, who shared insights into the rapidly evolving workforce, emerging career opportunities, and the skills required for future success.

• Alumni Perspectives Panel -

  Moderated by 2 Year 12 students, this session offered authentic and relatable insights from DAIS alumni across diverse fields. Alumni reflected on their journeys from school to higher education and into the workforce, providing students with real-world context and inspiration.

• University Perspectives Panel -

  Moderated by Nitika Thakur, this panel included a candid conversation with representatives from universities across five countries. The discussion focused on global higher education trends, how universities adapt to the changing needs of industries and what universities look for in prospective students.

  These panels were central to the event, offering students and parents a multi-dimensional understanding of career pathways and the opportunity to get their queries sorted.

Workshops

Three hands-on workshops were conducted to build essential career skills:

• Resume Building Workshops (2 sessions) -

  Delivered by alumni and a parent professional, these sessions helped students understand how to effectively present their skills, experiences, and achievements.

• LinkedIn Profile Creation Workshop -

  This session guided students in building a strong professional online presence, emphasizing networking, personal branding, and digital credibility.

  These workshops were highly practical and enabled students to take immediate steps toward career readiness.

Exhibitor and Internships Fair

The Internships Fair provided students, particularly those in Grade 11 with opportunities to explore real-world experiences and connect with organisations.

The open-access session later in the day allowed all attendees to engage with exhibitors, making it a dynamic and interactive component of the event.

Parent-focussed engagement

Recognising the critical role of parents in career decision-making, the event included dedicated sessions:

• Coffee & Conversations with College Counsellors -

  These informal sessions created a space for parents to engage directly with counsellors, ask questions, and better understand academic pathways and university planning.

• Myth Busting Session (Grade 9 parents) -

  Led by Ms. Sonali Bajaj, this session addressed common misconceptions around careers and academic expectations, helping parents align their perspectives with current realities.

  These sessions ensured that parents were active participants in the career exploration journey.

The Schedule was thoughtfully structured with:

• Sequential keynote-style panel discussions in the morning.
• Parallel breakout sessions tailored to specific audiences.
• Strategic breaks to allow smooth transitions between venues.
• A mix of formal and informal engagement formats.

This design maximized participation and ensured that each attendee group had access to relevant and meaningful experiences.
